The Silk Street 5, 6 & 7-piece bands now include the sound of a fantastic male singer, the perfect ensemble for those wanting the sophisticated sound of the jazz singer to the group. The band also offers music for dancing. In this case, use of the drums is quite important and so we would advise a minimum 4 piece line up consisting of 1 Horn, Banjo, Sousaphone, Drums. More front line instruments can be added to build up the sound.

Silk Street also offers a mobile option and can perform amongst guests and in different areas of the venue. A minimum 2-piece line up of 1 horn, Banjo, Sousaphone is advisable. More front line instruments can be added to create a larger more prominent sound.

The band also have ideal line ups for background music. i.e. 3-piece or 4-pieces offer perfect combinations where swapping the drums in the 4-piece for another horn is advisable. This choice is well suited to Wedding receptions.

For those on a budget but still wanting the ‘big’ sound, the 5-piece ensemble maintains the authentic sound of the Jazz as it uses 3 front line instruments.

The 7-piece or 6-piece band has a large sound so depending on the size of the performance space, this is the perfect ensemble for creating a timeless impression.

The band can provide a 1000W PA system, which includes a microphone for speeches and background CD/iPod music played in the breaks. This PA will cater for small to medium/large sized rooms / marquees of up to 250-300 guests.

The band is available with a male singer option.

The band can supply a lighting rig at an additional cost.

A huge thank you to the quartet who played at Ickworth on Saturday night. They were helpful, courteous, professional and very talented. It was wonderful to watch and listen to them at work. Please pass on our thanks to all four of them. Thank you for also making the booking process so smooth and easy. We look forward to working with you again in the future.

James Coveyduck, CCT Integrated Systems, London
The band was fantastic, completely making the evening for us. It was great to have a fun, young group of talented guys who really seemed to want to be there. I can’t wait to have them back for our next event; I would like to think it could become something of a tradition.

Martin & Gill Ingram, Birthday Party, Oxford
Thank you for performing so well at my wife’s ‘big birthday party’ recently, your excellent music added a great deal to the occasion. It was a long evening and for you to play so many sets with such untiring enthusiasm were itself very impressive. In brief we couldn’t have asked for anything better, and would recommend you to anyone.
