“Echo Strings are an all female string ensemble based in the North-West of England, formed whilst studying at Paul McCartney’s prestigious music college ‘The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts’.

Since forming in 2015, Echo Strings have been featured regularly on Channel 4 as part of British Soap Opera ‘Hollyoaks’ and provided background music for high profile events for Liverpool Football Club and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. The group have also provided backing strings for indie-rock band Circa Waves in Grammy-award winning Parr Street studios.
They have also played at many weddings and corporate events, such as The Telegraph Cruise & Travel Show, Liverpool John Moore’s University Graduation Dinner, the official opening of The Philharmonic Music Room, in venues including The Anglican Cathedral, The Royal Liver Building and St George’s Hall. In addition to this, Echo Strings have performed backing strings for artists for festivals including Liverpool International Music Festival 2016 and Threshold Festival 2016.
Despite being classically trained, the ensemble pride themselves on being a young, innovative group, with a repertoire ranging from Mozart to Glenn Miller to Bruno Mars. They also provide their own arrangements of modern day pop songs.”
